8 Reasons Every Contractor Should Consider A Construction Dumpster Rental

construction site with a dumpster on it that is full of debris

When it comes to construction projects, big or small, managing waste and debris is a task that can't be overlooked.

For contractors, this aspect of the job often poses a significant challenge. This is where construction dumpster rental steps in as a game changer.

But why should every contractor consider renting a dumpster to handle construction debris?

The answer lies in the benefits a construction dumpster rental brings to the table.

1. A Construction Dumpster Rental is Convenient

Imagine you're knee-deep in a construction project, and waste management is the last thing you want to worry about.

This is a common scenario where construction dumpster rentals can be incredibly beneficial.

Having a designated place to dispose of debris not only streamlines the cleanup process but also keeps the site organized.

I recall a contractor, John, who mentioned that renting a dumpster saved him hours per week that he used to spend managing waste – time he could now invest in more critical aspects of his work.

2. A Construction Dumpster Rental is Cost-Effective

Contrary to what some might believe, construction dumpster rentals can be a cost-effective solution for waste management.

When you compare the cost of renting a dumpster to the expense of multiple trips to disposal sites, the savings become evident.

It’s not just about fuel costs, but also the value of time spent in transportation and disposal, which can add up quickly.

Dumpster rentals can be a financially savvy choice for contractors.

3. A Construction Dumpster Rental Enhances Job Site Safety

One often overlooked aspect of construction dumpster rentals is how they contribute to job site safety.

A clean and organized site is a safer site.

By having a central place for all waste, you reduce the risk of accidents caused by scattered debris.

Safety experts often cite cleanliness and organization as key factors in preventing workplace accidents, and dumpsters play a crucial role in this.

4. A Construction Dumpster Rental Offers Environmental Benefits

In today's world, the environmental impact of any business activity is under scrutiny, and construction is no exception.

Construction dumpster rentals can significantly contribute to more environmentally responsible waste management.

Many rental companies offer options for recycling and properly disposing of different types of waste, ensuring that contractors can minimize their ecological footprint.

5. A Construction Dumpster Rental Improves Efficiency and Productivity

Efficiency on a construction site is paramount, and having a dumpster on-site can significantly contribute to this.

When workers don't have to worry about waste piling up or making trips to dispose of it, they can focus better on their tasks.

An organized site with a designated area for debris disposal streamlines operations, thereby boosting overall productivity.

6. A Construction Dumpster Rental Allows for Compliance with Regulations

In many areas, there are strict regulations regarding construction waste disposal.

Contractors must adhere to these laws to avoid hefty fines and legal complications.

Construction dumpster rentals can help ensure compliance with these regulations, as many rental companies are well-versed in local laws and can advise on proper disposal practices.

7. A Construction Dumpster Rental Offers Flexibility and Variety of Options

The variety of dumpsters available for rental is another significant advantage.

Whether it’s a small renovation project or a large construction site, there are dumpsters of various sizes and types to suit every need.

This flexibility allows contractors to choose the most appropriate option for their specific project requirements.

8. A Construction Dumpster Rental Allows Contractors to Build a Professional Image

Lastly, using professional waste disposal methods like construction dumpster rentals can enhance a contractor's image.

It shows a commitment to efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility, qualities that clients highly value.

In a competitive industry, maintaining a professional image can be a key differentiator.

Conclusion

In conclusion, construction dumpster rentals offer numerous benefits that can significantly improve the efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness of any construction project.

From convenience and compliance with regulations to enhancing job site safety and the professional image of a contractor, the advantages are clear.

For any contractor looking to optimize their construction project, considering construction dumpster rental is not just an option; it's a smart business decision.

We offer 3 options 3 days, 7 days, and 10 days. If you wish to keep the dumpster longer than the initial rental period, the fee is $10/day. If you have a commercial or construction project, we offer a 14 day rental with an overage fee of $5 a day. We also offer custom pricing to fit your needs. If you need custom pricing, give us a call.

What happens if I keep it longer than the rental period?

We charge a $10/day fee after the initial rental period is over. For those taking advantage of our construction project pricing, the overage feee is $5/day. If you need a dumpster for a bigger construction project or commercial project, we would love to talk.

When should I have my dumpster delivered?

We recommend you have your dumpster delivered the day before you need it for a project.

Not only do we recommend this, but we have built our pricing structure around it. We don’t count the dumpster delivery day or the dumpster pick up day in the rental period.

You can be confident you will be able to use your dumpster for the full 3, 7, or 10 days when you rent from Wise Guys Dumpsters.

Do you offer same day dumpster delivery?

In most cases, we can provide same day delivery. Call us for availability and so we can provide a rush for your order.

We know situations change, or other dumpster companies back out. We are here for you when that occurs. And will do everything we can to get you a dumpster so you can start your project.

We, however, recommend that you plan ahead, if at all possible. Booking your dumpster delivery a day before your project begins will ensure it is available for you to use the moment you're ready to start your project.

As mentioned above, we won't ever penalize you for ordering your dumpster delivery a day before. You will always get the full days for which you booked.

How do I prepare my site for dumpster delivery?

Ensure the area is free from vehicles or other obstacles and is easily accessible for our delivery trucks.

Is there anything I can't put in the dumpster?

Unfortunately, there are a few things that the Denton County landfill won’t allow and a few other things that are allowed but require special care.

Not allowed:

  • No paint
  • No tires
  • No batteries
  • No chemicals
  • No rocks
  • No dirt
  • No concrete
  • No bricks
  • No shingles unless spread out over multiple dumpsters. If you are a roofing company, we can serve you, but please give us a call so we can talk about the best approach for your work site.

Allowed with exceptions:

  • Appliances are allowed, but there is a $10 charge per larger appliance item, such as a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, etc.
  • Please let us know if you place appliances in the dumpster, and how many, we are required to take those to a different area of the dump when disposing of them.
  • If you are demolishing a brick house, items such as rocks, dirt, concrete, bricks, and shingles, you would be better off with a dump trunk rather than a dumpster.

What should I do if I have paint to dispose of?

If you have paint you need to dispose of, you can put kitty litter in it and once it has dried, your county/city will have a facility that you can take it to.

How much does a dumpster rental cost?

Prices can vary depending on location, length of rental and weight of what you are disposing of but, for most customers, dumpsters start at are $375 for a medium sized (15 Cubic Yard) dumpster and $400 for a large (20 Cubic Yards) dumpster.

What is the difference between a 15 yard and a 20 yard?

They are identical except that the 15 yard is 4 foot tall. The 20 yard is 6 foot tall. All our dumpsters have barn doors that open on the back, so you can completely walk into them, making it easy to load them efficiently.
